Apple launched the Original iPhone 7 years ago.
Since that date they have launched iPhone 3GS for $99 in June 2009, The iPhone 4 June 2010, The iPhone 4S October 2011, The Apple iPhone 5 September 2012, The Apple iPone 5C and 5S September 2013, and the new iPhone 6 October 2014. It is one of the most powerful product launches of any product in the world… ‘The iPhone’ much anticipated by the Apple Lovers among us. With many raving about the latest iPhone, longer, sleeker, faster, wider lighter, and whilst hailed by many as the best iPhone ever, it also looked more fragile.
We have all seen it a million times; that friend, that coworker, that person in line with that god awful smashed iPhone. Dropped it, broken screen, shattered with a story to match the phone.
We will all be in their shoes one day breaking a phone, it’s the worst feeling and what follows can be even more frustrating and disappointing,
The decision to repair by apple rather than replace and upgrade is often a popular one as phone companies require we pay our contracts out and sign up to newer and conveniently more expensive plans.
The decision of who repairs our phones is usually one solely based on price. Now as our mothers told us.. cheapest is not always the best..
Yes that ad on Gumtree or Facebook looks legitimate, but how precious are your photos and personal information? Who are you handing your device to? Will they do a good job? Will they compromise your personal information and details? Will they repair your device and replace all parts? Do they know the function of every part in your phone? Have they learnt from watching youtube videos
So many times in this industry have people overlooked a legitimate outlet for repair only to come back when things turn sour, from waiting times extending into the months for repairs, to faulty screens not being warranted in any way; this is a small but bitter taste of the industry. Phone calls not being returned, Facebook profiles being blocked so you can’t follow up your enquiry.
Sadly sometimes you get what you pay for.. and sometimes even what you pay too much for…
We have seen and heard it all, from missing screws to missing parts, no accountability to unanswered phone calls, from lost information to stolen identity.
These are the demons of the device repair industry we see all too much.
And that’s why sometimes cheapest is not always best. There are repair companies popping up everywhere but the ones you need to consider handing your phone over too are the ones that are legitimate. You need to ask: will you get warranty? A receipt? A repair to be happy with? Friendly accountable service you can contact? Do they work from the boot of their car ? Do they work from a garage or bedroom? These are the types of businesses you need to progress with for the promise of genuine repair centers.
Please consider the above then considering who will repair your broken, shattered, smashed Apple iPhone.
Trust your repair with a repairer with the growing network of Repairers, based in major shopping centres around the country.
